Niagara Frontier Reading Council, 2024-Present

  • Collaborated with other board members to plan council events and support the New York State Reading Association with their conference in Buffalo, N.Y.

 

West Seneca Central School District, September 2021-Present

• Coached West Seneca West Men’s Varsity Bowling team to Erie County Interscholastic Conference (ECIC) Championship in February 2024 while maintaining high standards and expectations of teammates, resulting in all athletes being named Scholar Athletes.

• Advised West Seneca West Middle School’s Newspaper Club and collaborated with students to brainstorm, create, and publish articles with the purpose of informing the school community.

• Advised West Seneca West Middle School’s Anime and Manga Club where I taught students new literacies and multimodalities to make meaning from multimodal, cultural texts.

 

Holland Central School District, Jan. 2020-June 2021

• Directed After-School Academic Program (ASAP) to bring about increased student engagement and achievement in students at-risk of failing.

• Served as Sophomore Class Advisor and helped students and parents plan class events and activities, including a fundraiser selling face masks and service project involving writing cards for Veterans and seniors in nursing homes.

 

Tapestry Charter School, Aug. 2019-Jan. 2020

• Served as a Crew Leader to build and foster positive relationships with students through weekly team building activities, mindfulness exercises, and academic check ins.

 

St. John Vianney School, Sept. 2018-June 2019

• Directed Do Tell! Carnegie Story Maker STREAM Academy in which students participated in reading and writing workshops and composed their own stories and used basic computer coding to bring them to life.

 

Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament School, Dec. 2016-June 2018

• Co-directed Creation Theater, a school STREAM Academy and co-directed the spring musicals, Big Bad Musical and OLBS Over the Rainbow, and school one-act play festival.

• Collaborated with parents and other teachers to organize 8th grade graduation, Hope Ribbon, and other events, including co-chairing and organizing Walk-A-Thon.

• Selected as the keynote speaker and delivered the commencement address at graduation.
